SofaSessions
Get Comfortable With…

This is a new video series from Horsfield Menzies offering relaxed, practical conversations on the HR and employment law issues that matter most. Filmed on the sofa over coffee and cake, the series is designed to make complex developments easier to understand, more relatable, and genuinely useful for HR professionals.

The series will feature three types of sessions. Each month, we’ll break down a recent HM Matters article, exploring the key points and practical takeaways. We’ll also include a regular topic in focus, providing a clear update on a specific HR issue employers are grappling with. And when major employment law news breaks, we’ll release ad-hoc “emergency” sessions, offering timely commentary and guidance when it’s needed most.

Get Comfortable With… forms part of our wider HR Matters programme and reflects our commitment to delivering expert insight in a human, approachable way — helping you stay informed, prepared, and comfortable with the challenges shaping today’s workplace.

Celebrating 5 Years
Horsfield Menzies Birthday Celebrations in London

The Horsfield Menzies Five‑Year Celebration was an unforgettable evening that perfectly captured the spirit, ambition, and community of the firm.

Guests arrived at the stunning Devon House and were immediately welcomed into a warm, relaxed atmosphere overlooking one of London’s most iconic views. The outdoor terrace, with Tower Bridge illuminated just beyond, became a natural gathering point — a place where old colleagues reconnected, new relationships formed, and conversations flowed as easily as the drinks. Inside, DJ Mettafor set the tone with smooth, chilled beats that created the ideal backdrop for the night. The energy was vibrant but unhurried, giving everyone space to unwind and enjoy themselves. The interactive quiz added a playful competitive edge, with guests eagerly testing their knowledge for the chance to take home the prize.

Throughout the evening, the Horsfield Menzies team delivered short, engaging employment‑law updates — informative without ever interrupting the rhythm of the event. It was a thoughtful touch that reflected the firm’s expertise while keeping the focus firmly on celebration.

The Unispace flagship office proved to be the perfect venue: modern, stylish, and full of character, mirroring the firm’s own growth and momentum over the past five years. Above all, the night was defined by connection — genuine conversations, shared memories, and a collective sense of pride in how far the firm has come. It was a celebration not just of a milestone, but of the people who made it possible.

A truly memorable evening from start to finish.
